Be safe at uni

Starting uni is an exciting time and we know there are lots of things you’ll be focusing on right now. While they are all important, make sure to add these to your to-do list as well:

Pick up a map of campus to help you get around safely
 

Research bus and train timetables, local taxi firm numbers and relevant travel apps
 

Buy a steering wheel lock if you’re bringing a car
 

Get a D-lock for your bike
 

Sort out contents insurance
 

Make a list of your possessions including the make, model and serial numbers, as well as photos of your valuables for reference
 

Get a home security marking kit to label your possessions with
 

Set up a UK bank or building society account to keep your money secure
 

Make a note of contact details for your bank if your cards get lost or stolen
 

Create a list of emergency contacts
